The house! It’s great!
please take note of the goats. they are super awesome.
also, the yard is nice and big and fenced. i think Maddy would love it. er, when she’s not loving the air conditioning or cool shaded veranda.
i absolutely adore the new house. it’s fantastic and small and clean and fun and white and just so so good. there are a few ants to deal with, but i’m so happy and excited.
thanks for everyone who sent good karma vibes our way. i’m absolutely positive you helped. : ))

Happy House Warming! I’m so happy that you are pleased with your new digs. Personally, I think that’s a little slice of heaven right there.

Wow that looks like a great place. it looks like you are going to enjoy it. Hope it isn’t to long of a bike ride to school.
Maddy will have fun with the goats.

When you fall asleep tonight in your new digs, I hope you think of all those poor suckers in their little dorm rooms :)
(although I guess they’re not there yet)
(and I think ‘tonight’ has already come and gone for you..what’s the time difference anyway?)
(also, how much does a place like that cost to rent??)

hello, ladies (and Joe!). : ))
thanks for the warm comments! it really is “warm” in here. i don’t have to worry about my morning coffee cooling off too quickly. : D
Joe – i’ll post a map later showing my new bike route. speaking of which, i need to open up the box (it arrived!) and put it back together!
to answer Sarah’s questions:
- apparently some are here, but i hear the first week of classes is a bit of a panicked whirlwind for most new students in the dorms (setting up internet, banking, etc). suckers. ; )
- Nevis is in the GMT-4 time zone. with daylight savings, we are 3 hours ahead of Vancouver.
- i am paying $850US/month for this place. single dorms at MUA are $500/month, if you can get in as a single.
more pics soon. you guys are awesome. : ))

Hi Jennifer,
I will be attending MUA in January and I cannot tell you how informative your blog has been. I have a few questions and I am hoping you can help. I noticed that you did not stay in the dorms during your first semester. How did you organize your housing? I am not too impressed with the dorms and even less so with the likelihood of having a roomate – I need my space! I found a housing list on the campus website. I contacted Charlene Huggins wanting to see picture of the places, but was told that you will only see what you are assigned to..?.. Therein lies the problem – I don’t want to be assigned to anything, I’d like to select willingly.
What do I do? Also did you even bother to submit the housing form?
Please help :)
