CaRMS

the nerve-wracking process of choosing and matching to a residency program is still a ways off for me yet, but i found this informational video to be actually, well, informational. it is encouraging to see IMGs included so extensively in the Canadian process. yay!

gives me the shivers to think that people who are meant to be saving other people’s lives are cheating on their exams… aren’t they afraid that at some point in their career they won’t know what to do with a patient because they couldn’t bother with all the studying? being a doctor is a huge responsibility – i myself could never take it on, but thankfully, there are people who can. don’t these cheaters realise that they will be held responsible if they mess up one day? and what about their own conscience? will they be able to stand up an say “sorry your wife / child / brother is dead because i used to be a lazy student?”
    terrifying.
