Long-lost reunion
i know at least a few of you out there have been around long enough to remember the trip i took to Paris and Barcelona with my mom for her 50th birthday. it was May 2006 and we frolicked in the European spring sunshine while taking a ton of photos and ordering one of everything in the pastry shops.
about halfway through a wonderful dinner with large pitchers of sangria, my purse was stolen from between my feet under the table. i was disappointed of course, but tried not to let it ruin the rest of our trip. the camera was easy enough to replace (with all of YOUR help), but i couldn’t justify re-purchasing the same expensive purse i had just splurged on a few months earlier.
i spent the next two years trying to find a similar purse that fit me and my stuff and my wardrobe so well. my mom and sister looked. we all failed miserably.
yesterday an early birthday present arrived. i could hardly believe it. a very special present from a very special person.
You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Is it the same bag? It’s pretty! If some reader sent you a coach bag, I’m setting up my own website NOW.

thanks, ladies (and Joe!) – i knew you all would share in this girly purse moment.
i should add that (despite what livinglightly seems to think) this didn’t arrive in the mail like a regular care package. it was a very special birthday present from a very special person. : ))

That is a perfect birthday gift. You never have to ask anyone for anything. Most of these people know that you are a great person and get exactly what you deserve. You reap what you sow and you sow a lot for others and don’t reap many benefits. This was exactly what you deserved for a wonderful birthday!! Hope you continue to love school and continue to live for others and utilize all o the great gifts you possess.

wait a second… your birthday isn’t until september! you have to put it away until then. ;-)

Jillian speaks the truth. Mail it to me and I’ll hold onto it for you until September, and then I’ll mail it back to you.
So who sent this lovely gift to you, huh? huh? huhuhuh?? I want to know where I can get one too! I’m assuming that since you had it in 2006, it would no longer be in stores…do tell! I’m a bag addict, but I can never seem to find one that I am truly satisfied with.

I’m happy you found a suitable replacement! I had a similar experience with a perfect purse, it matched everything and was just the right size. Unfortunately it got stolen in a bar as I was using the bathroom and my friends were supposed to be watching it. I’ve been on the quest to find a new one but they’re just not right. This gives me great hope… XD
