i'm lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time...

i’m not delusional enough to compare myself on any level to the fabulously beautiful Demi Moore. i never looked that good at 22 years old, so i’m guessing it won’t magically happen when i turn 42. even if i do manage to marry someone 15 years younger than me.

15 year age difference and still with a happily ever after wedding. huh.

how about 7?

he’s younger. and i feel like a year of living in the Caribbean sun under the stress of medical school has given me more wrinkles than i deserve. yes, his mom probably thinks it’s less than ideal. my mom might but she’s not saying anything. his roommates post (all-in-good-fun ribbing) articles on his door with Tips for Dating Older Women. yes, the age difference makes our conversations about The Future interesting. yes, our conversations about 1995 are even more interesting…

but yes, we are very very happy.

no one’s fairy tale ending ever looks like Disney told us it should anyway. you work on your Happily Ever After and i’ll work on mine. : )

PS: i’ll try to throw you a 30th you won’t forget, babe. good thing i have a few years to plan and save. ; )

I think you are beautiful and wonderful. Also, remember, Demi doesn’t ever enjoy chocolate or Oreos or Twizzlers. I think your life rocks all over an Oreo-free life.

We found the Oreo equivalent in our country. Aptly named, “Boreo’s” Ha!

I’m three years older than my guy. Not such a huge age difference, but it doesn’t stop me from teasing him when I talk about the 1990’s. :)

You guys look perfect for each other! I can see it by the picture posted! Love does not discriminate by age and it is a good thing! Who said a guy had to be older than his girl? Have fun dear Jennifer! I hope the end of the block is going good for you!

Too cute! Congrats on finding someone you can share all your crazy experiences with :)

And no, 7 years is not too much. It’s a tonne when you’re much younger, but as adults the lines all blur that way. Don’t stress it. I have two close sets of friends with 12-14 year differences, and they’re all happy as could be.

    Happy studying!

If you dated your stalker it would be an 8 year difference so I can’t say the 7 year difference with your man is wrong.

Brandon and I, on the other hand … a 15 year difference … would be totally wrong. ;)

I’m 10 years older than my boyfriend :) There are definite advantages and disadvantages, as there are with any relationship.
Big advantage: Waaayyy less jaded than someone my age. Like… WOW. And the sex drive :D
On the other hand, I do have a bit of a hard time dating someone 10 years younger because what happens when I’m 50 and he’s 40? But we have the same goals and we love each other :) And you two look happy together.

My stepdad is 8 years younger than my mom. My father is 3 years younger than his wife (who’s also Mom’s age). My biggest female role models in life seem to like younger men, so you’re in good company :-)

Who cares about age? It’s not like you look 7 years older than him :)

Hope the shelf exams are going ok!

a man can be 40 and an immature idiot (a woman on the other hand… :)). the question you should be asking yourself is (as the song goes) - is he strong enough to be your man? if he’s the one, who cares if he remembers mc hammer.

7 is not a big deal at all … i was engaged to someone 9 years younger, it didn’t work out and i decided that i couldn’t marry him but that had nothing to do with his age and we are still good friends …

    :)

    and you … look fab!

I’ve been reading along for a long time. You inspire me and yet I have never said a word…at least not to my recollection tonight. I’m happy that you’re finding happiness. The word Love has no numbers in it. :-)

Age is irrelevant. It’s how happy you are. Pretty much as simple as that :-)

You guys are so cute! I love reading this stuff.
