How I Study for Shelf Exams

micro today! the world neuro tomorrow!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AT MUA WRITING SHELF EXAMS TODAY!!!!!!

(and yes, i wrote that in all caps with excessive exclamation marks because i was channeling Dean T for a minute there. ha!)

this class has made the semester pretty brutal for me. a couple of my other subjects slipped as i put more time into the new language we were expected to learn that seemed to be made up of long italicized species names of tiny tiny things that can make you sick in a big big way.

according to the NBME here is a list of the things we can expect to see this afternoon:

Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics
Tissue Response to Disease
Pharmacodynamic/Pharmacokinetic Processes
Microbial Biology and Infection
Microbial classification and its basis
Bacteria and bacterial diseases
Viruses and viral diseases
Fungi and fungal infections
Parasites and parasitic diseases
Principles of sterilization and pure culture technique
Immune Responses
Organ Systems
Hematopoietic & lymphoreticular
Central & peripheral nervous
Skin & related connective tissue
Musculoskeletal
Respiratory
Cardiovascular
Gastrointestinal
Renal/urinary
Reproductive

i appreciate all of the eye and toe crossing (even though you guys look pretty darn funny) and will be back on email soon. i hope. i miss you guys!
