Fall Flickr cleaning

as a lot of you are already aware, almost all of the photos i post in my blog entries are linked to my flickr account. huge thanks to my Aunt Jean in Saskatoon for the latest extension of my pro account.
i love flickr. well, i loved flickr when i had the time to enjoy it as the addicting social network it can be. with the adventures of medical school, my online socializing has taken a drastic nosedive. along with my photographic experimenting. so, flickr sort of turned into a photo archive for me.
which i can do much more easily (and privately) from iPhoto at home.
as such, i’ve nuked the photos from my account and am managing all 8,000+ of them on my hard drive instead. this means all of the photos from previous entries will be “broken”. sorry for the inconvenience and annoyance and extra large white boxes. still figuring out how i want to handle future post photo uploads.
You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Totally understood…and I don’t have a PhD.
Just do the world a favour and keep the smiling eyes.

Sad because I was just going to get a Flickr account too. Bummer that you got off but understandable. I probably do not need another distraction anyway. Facebook is plenty and your website of course : ) : P

BCWB – there is no excuse not to get an account. do it. keep `jen contributing now and then, and I’ll certainly follow along from home and apply the fav/mockery buttons as appropriate. I expect to see pics of you cheering the riders on soon.
`jen – I totally get the whys, but really hope the account doesn’t totally die. I have no fazebuk, and plan on keeping it that way :) keep loving it, just like you love a cousin instead of a hubby.

Not sure if I will. I will have to think about it. Currently the Nevis Police have my camera in evidence so I can’t exactly flick anything : )

i don’t see why it’s necessary to give up flickr altogether just because you don’t have the time for photography now. i have many contacts who upload a couple of pictures every four or five weeks, and believe me, in this case the absence does make a heart grow fonder. you led me into a whole world i wouldn’t have known if it hadn’t been for your camera. canada, africa, the caribbean… i’m sure none of your contacts would mind if there’d be just less of your photography on flickr, but many would be very sad if there’d be none.

Dammit, some of my best stalking was done in your stream.

My company blocks flickr so I used to see white boxes and voila now I see photo’s. I am of course playing catch up tonight reading through your blog. However, I had to stop at this post and say if you were the doctor sent to my bedside, I would feel confident and calm. You look so darn friendly and competent.
