in case you can’t read the fine print, the BC government has decided to help me pay for school down here. they have approved me for the maximum amount of funding available to full-time students. an extra ~$15,000/year never hurt anyone.
while Brandon soldiers on putting up with all kinds of crap* raining down on him, my path at MUA and on Nevis continues to be wide and smooth sailing. i know my friends and family at home are thinking about me and praying for me and helping me in whatever way they can.

*since July: car accident that wasn’t his fault, car rental company that gave him the run-around and didn’t know how to add up their invoices correctly, didn’t get to touch Nebraskan soil during August break, house broken into and thousands of dollars of electronics stolen, malcontent among roommates, received summons to appear in court from car rental company who is now suing for twice the amount of the original damage invoice (accident wasn’t his fault, remember?) and still can’t add up the numbers properly, dog at home that he grew up with is seriously ill and will probably be put to rest this weekend, and last (but not least!) girlfriend is stressed about school and limiting their hangout time. *SIGH*
Brandon really isn’t the type to complain (except to me because i tell him he’s supposed to), but i would have snapped weeks ago. it’s his birthday on Saturday and i’m hoping my surprise present helps us celebrate and forget about a few things for at least a few hours.

Congratulations on the BC loan. Every little bit helps and less to worry about.
Sorry about all the crap Brandon is going through but Saturday is fast approaching.

Congrats Jen, that must take a bit of stress off. Definitely think about you often and I’ll be sure to send some good yogic energy Brandon’s way. October birthdays are the best!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate their good thoughts and all the good things they send Jen’s way and mine at the same time. Jen is great and you all already know that. I do complain a lot but sometimes down here it feels like the whole world is against you and the only thing to hold onto is Jen. School is going alright and the MBA program is going well so there are good things among the bad. The school is helping me out a ton with lawyers and support and the police did find most of the valuables and hopefully we will get them back shortly. Thanks to all the readers as well for their support. With Jen by my side there really is not anything I cannot do : )!!
