“Love is, above all else, the gift of oneself.”
~ Jean Anouilh

i’m sitting here trying to think of what to type for our 8 month-iversary and the only thought rolling over and over in my head is that it feels like a lifetime and a brand new beginning all rolled up into one. i just can’t decide whether i should be happy about what we have found together or excited about all of the wonderful things still to come.

tough decision, huh?

either way, i know i couldn’t go another day without him by my side.

and not just because he cooks and cleans, puts up with my PMS mood swings and comments on every single one of my blog posts. ; ))

I think you picked a good one. I like him a lot better than that other guy…what’s his name.

I can’t imagine a day without you here with me. I would probably go crazy if I didn’t have someone helping me stay calm and collected throughout every day. Not to mention cleaning the floor, killing the ants, writing blog posts to distract me from homework, helping me get my blog up and running, and most of all making sure I remember that there are people to love and things to keep dear besides school!! Can’t wait for another 5ty ; P : ) years : D!!!!

I’m a bit worried about B. As the months you’ve spent together pass by he seems to be using the word awesome less and less. Or perhaps he’s just awesome-censoring in his blog comments only.

What you have is awesome though. Love may be “the gift of oneself” but personally I’m getting fed up of knowing what the gift is. I need to share this gift. Know what I mean?

jammie - i think sarah needs a gift. dressing yourself up like a bag of fuzzy peaches should get you in the front door, no questions asked.

Jen says: “Hey world, here’s my new fella. He’s American but look at how well our heads fit together! He’s still getting used to all the photo taking.”

    (2)
J thinks: “Mmm, comfy manly shoulder.”
B thinks: “Our heads even fit together this way. Hmm, smells good!”

    (3) Proud of where I’m from. Proud of him.

    (8)

I stumbled upon your blog a while ago and it ended up in my bookmarks. Every time I visit your site you’ve written something new that makes me smile, or that brightens my day. Thank you for being so honest and open! I wish you all the best in all of your endeavors, and keep taking great pictures!

I think when you can look back on your relationship and smile…when you can sit in today and smile for all that you have and you can also look forward with excited anticipation with regards to your relationship…then that’s a keeper. I recently mentioned our meager beginnings to my husband and last night he called and asked me out…to go to the same exact places we went to on our first date. When we got to dinner he handed me a small note. All that it said inside was “I remember”. It’s wonderous when you can remember and smile as much as you can anticipate and smile and still be happy in the right now. That’s priceless man!!

great sequence of shots Jennifer. You two look so happy in them. Nice choices. Are you camera right most of the time since you are shooting left handed? :)
