Thinking pink for 9 more days
i’m an annoying bride. not so much a bridezilla diva that needs to have everything exactly her way, no. but a bride who has absolutely nothing of interest going on in her life other than the upcoming party surrounding “I do” and “I do too”.
wonderful marvelous Tiffany arrived last night and i kept trying to steer the conversation away from rings and dresses and flowers and guest lists and all things pink and navy, but failed miserably.
in my defense though, Tiffany is an expert at conversation steering. even in her jet-lagged contact lens bleary eyed state last night as we had drinks and food in a dim lounge, she was overflowing with questions that either made her seem more interested than she really is, or just revealed her to be A Great Friend and was another reminder of why i asked her to be our Mistress of Ceremonies. she patiently listened to all of my stories about how we finally picked rose over blush and what Brandon’s wedding band looks like and whether or not i went with a strapless dress and and and.
in the interest of getting it out of my system (and for those of you that enjoy the small wedding details), here are a few clippings from my photo diary of inspirations thus far.

for those of you not interested in wedding planning stuff, i’m off to pick up Brandon this afternoon and will be back talking about the Roughriders and the weather and how i’ve made myself nervous for upcoming hospital rotations by reading “First Aid for the Wards”. i’m only a “bride-to-be” for another 9 days.

9 days! Wow! I love all this wedding stuff for obvious reasons – although I don’t have photos of inspirations, mine is all in my head so I hope it turns out as lovely as yours… I guess its all about what works for the couple. Can’t wait to meet Brandon too! Go Riders!!
PS. Do we need to bring our Rider gear for the big day? There is a game that night… LOL kidding!

Wow! 9 days! I’ll definitely be thinking of you on the day of. I will also send you sunshine so to make sure you’ve got a beautiful and stunning day for your wedding. Thanks for keeping those of us that are far away posted :) But also, thank you for keeping things a bit of a surprise. I can’t wait to hear all about it after it’s happened.

I was that annoying bride too, and there’s no need to apologize :) Thanks for sharing the details and I’m so sorry we’re going to miss it. I’m sure it will all be amazing and beautiful just like you!
As for going into the wards, try not to worry too much about it – there will be plenty of people around that have your back! Neither “break a leg” nor “knock ‘em dead” seem appropriate here, but you know what I mean – good luck! ;)
