thank you for your vicarious indignation and empathetic frustration. i don’t know which complaint route worked best, but something greased the wheels and here i sit with a refund that took 19 weeks to process from start to finish, but only 2 weeks from complaint to resolution.

i guess the moral of the story is that it’s better to take the high road and use your big girl words. otherwise they might have deducted the cost of the window i smashed in my drive-by rock tossing. and that amount would have been much less satisfying.
