“so what are your hobbies?”

“oh, i like to write and take photos.”

“what sort of things do you write?”

“um, fiction based on my life, i guess. and i sort of have this weblog where i write for friends and family around the world…” *fade and mentally search for backspace key in the conversation*

“a website? what’s the address?”

“um. i can’t tell you.” *nervous laugh*

i totally set myself up for that one. i didn’t really intend for the attending* on my Family Medicine rotation to find me here so fast. or so soon. or ever.

but here we are. and it’s all good. thankfully, i’m on a little writing hiatus so he doesn’t have to worry that i will blab about him until after he’s completed my evaluation, we’ve parted ways, and my Thank You card is in the mail.

but it’s really really really tough to resist mentioning how his nurses think he has Patrick Swayze hair and could easily double for him in “Dirty Dancing”.

*just a reminder for non-med-school folks that “attending” (is also a noun! and) refers to a head physician in charge of teaching residents, interns and lowly medical students.
