It is a rough and physical sport, but that is part of the fun in it. People wouldn't play it if there wasn't so much glory attached to it. If one has never played football, which I am sure neither of the physicians in this case have, they don't understand the experience of scoring a touchdown in front of 3,000-10,000 people in high school or 70-80,000 in college. People sacrifice their bodies for the love of the game. Even being in medical school I will never utilize this research to tell anyone not to play the game because in reality everyone that signs up to play reads a huge paper (or their parents do actually) that tells them of the dangers of playing.
