2010 is really shaping up to be an anti-computer year so far.
I can barely bring myself to cursorily glance through email and maybe skim through Facebook before my hands are itching to do something else and my feet are already taking me in that direction.
I had a friend (hi, Christina!) tell me to “embrace it!” and not fight the flow.
So, I have a dozen unanswered email messages. There’s this Scrabble game I just can’t bring myself to finish lose. I haven’t been practicing any question banks since I passed the Internal Medicine shelf exam. I’m reading books s l o w l y. I’m watching movies. I’m learning a ton at the hospital. I’m doing lots of things and I’m doing nothing.
I’m enjoying my life away from the computer. I just wish there were more of you here with me.

I love this picture of Suh and I wish there were more of your friends here with you as well…guess it is time to make friends with all those nurses you see everyday : ) It will be beneficial in two ways…
i have found the same thing this year … life is too busy, too interesting and the computer sits alone more times than not. i think its and ebb and flow thing and you should just go for it :-) xoxox
I think I know how you feel on this one – I’m enjoying life (mostly) offline too! Hopefully looking forward to a chance to visit in-real-life with you soon :)
Hi! Hopefully I don’t get hate mail from your readers after this. :)
Jennifer I find myself doing the same thing.. it so nice to take a break and realize there is a whole world offline. Perhaps a more tactile one at that :-)
Get your ass back on the computer and write a substantial post, and don’t pull this crap again.
SOOOOO know how you feel. Happens to me all the time. Suh is such a dang cutie pie!! I can’t get over how much she looks like the super-sized version of my doggy Molly!
I agree. Ever since our immediate boss passed away and his partner, brother has taken over day to day operation I really don’t feel like sitting in front of a computer when I get home. He has had me just pounding away with projects.
