My friend Kev sent me a present in the mail in February 2007, shortly after I found out I was accepted to MUA. Pauline Chen wrote about her experiences as a liver transplant surgeon and hooked me as a reader for life.

As such, I’m immensely thankful when readers (thanks, Jay!) forward me articles by her in the NY Times.

I knew this was an old photo….no WEDDING RING! Doh. ;-)

Also….I would like you to move out of the way so I can see what’s on the cool looking shelf behind you. And what sort of shelf is that?

I find it hilarious that I bought you the exact same book for Christmas last year. You were nice enough to still read it even though you had read it before. Now that is a great wife!! Not sure I would have read it if I had already read it before, however, I don’t like to read so it is apples and oranges : )
