About

good morning!

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

~ Robert Frost

i am a Canadian, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a best friend, a student, a dog owner, a member of my university’s honor society, a perfectionist, an online acquaintance, and an ever-evolving woman.

but none of those roles define me.

i love to take photos. i take photos of myself in random bathrooms. i would rather travel than be at home. i like red licorice. i love naps. i like to bake banana muffins. i eat cheese and occasionally red meat. i love movies. i love to run. i love to run with my dog outdoors. i like to write. i love brunch with friends. i want to take care of the environment. i want to take care of people in my environment. i enjoy yoga. i relish silence. i am fascinated by the human body. i enjoy physical hard work. i crave mental stimulation. i love the outdoors. i like to climb mountains and sleep under stars. i appreciate constructive criticism. i like to be goofy. i have a dry sense of humour.

but even the most comprehensive list will always be just the “tip of the iceberg”.

i don’t like people who drive slow in the fast lane. i am disgusted by cream of mushroom soup. i hate hypocrisy. especially in myself. i am disappointed when cinnamon buns have raisins in them. i can’t follow politics without getting depressed or involved. i don’t like window shopping. i don’t even like shoes all that much. i am impatient. i can be defensive. i detest unsolicited advice. i don’t like aerobics. i hate it when i realize i am talking really loudly.

but none of those things really reflect how passionate i am.

i’m not sure what you expected here, but nothing in an “about” page can let you really get to know me. how ’bout you just tell me when you’re in my neck of the woods and we’ll sit down for a coffee. deal? deal.

in the meantime, you might want to know why i share such personal stuff. or whether i think it is vain and self-serving to do so. you may even be interested in what path i took to get here. and here is a short note to my fellow MUA students - don’t be shy, come say hi!
