I always send handwritten Thank You notes.

But a fellow student told me the other day that he thinks handwritten cards are “outdated.” His main arguments were that you can’t be sure if the card gets to the right person at the address (which may be especially true in big hospital departments) and that email was better because it was faster and direct.

What are your thoughts?
