A Cut Above

I may be biased because I was desperately looking for distraction during my battle with a stomach virus over the last couple of days, but this book is pretty funny.

When Dr. Youn first emailed to ask me if I would consider reading his book and maybe sharing a review with my readers, I was tempted to say “no.” I feel like I have passed the point of no return with med school memoirs. I used to devour any I could get my hands on in anticipation of “what’s next” and validation that I’m not the only one thinking this is pure hell at times. Now I feel like if I’ve read one, I’ve read them all. They all seem essentially the same.

In Stitches” has a few twists and a few jokes that makes it different.

One of the most obvious things from the start is that he is a blogger. You can tell this by his short sentences and casual writing style. He pulls you into his story and his world from there.

From the budding med student to the armchair celebrity plastic surgeon, this book will keep you entertained.
